Almost Everything Has Been Revolutionized By Computers

Over the last 50 years, nothing has been a better advancement than that of the computer. If you think about everything that the computer impacts in our lives it is mind blowing. It has trickled into almost every aspect of our lives.

The computer was once a big, monstrous machine that took an entire room by itself. Now, computers come in a lot of sizes and some are as small as 9" display that sits on our lap. We often refer to them now as a pc, which stands for personal computer.

Even our cell phones now have a computer implemented in them. It is absolutely stunning that our cell phones are also a computer. The cell phone computer is able to do a lot of what our computers at home can do and we can do it while we are gone and not near any other computer.

So many people now spend an ever increasing amount of time on the computer each day. This seems to be natural because they spend all day on them at work and then come home and jump on their pc at home. Many jobs exist today that did not exist before the computer. While it is true that some jobs were taken over by computers, the amount of jobs created far exceed those that were taken by computers

A pc is now a required part of school supplies at the college level. Everything that they do regarding their school work involves the computer. Some people are worried that good penmanship is a dying skill. It may be, but there is little need to have great penmanship these days as long as what they write can be read by others.

Computers have even reached the car industry. Many aspects of our car are controlled by a computer as we travel down the road. Some of those things include the traction control, anti lock brakes, air/fuel mixture and on star for those who have that.

Even your favorite place to eat out has been impacted by the computer. Restaurants use them to keep track of orders, people and employees. They also use them to make things more efficient and quicker.

There is no question that pc's have become a part of nearly every household in America along with the majority of homes in a lot of other countries. They have also pushed into the work place in most every industry. Our research, study, socializing, new reading, picture sharing and many other areas have all been revolutionized by the computer. There is no question that the computer was the biggest and in some regards the best advancement in the last 50 years.
